About Us

The Covington Newton County United Fund was established in 1963 by a local group of business men. The Covington United Fund changed it's name to Covington Newton County United Way several years thereafter. The Covington Newton County United Way has strived to help those in need in different capacities, such as those in need of a helping hand to help with utility and rental needs, help the mentally and physically disabled and provide them the opportunity to be productive citizens, helping the elderly to stay active in the community, helping women and men in domestic violence situations and to help sexual and physical abused to children.
